T.O.M.B (Tokenized On-chain Memorials & Burials) is a digital memorial platform. It lets you create a permanent, private space to honor someone you love — with photos, videos, written memories, and voice prayers — stored on the blockchain and encrypted so only invited visitors can view it.

Creating a memorial is a one-time $20 USD fee. That includes 3 memorial gallery photos (up to 10 MB each) and 1 memorial video (up to 100 MB), plus a profile photo and metadata, stored permanently on Arweave. Extra memorial photos are $3 each (up to 10 MB); extra videos are $15 each (up to 100 MB), paid before upload. Life Journey milestones are curated in Cloudflare (D1/R2), not Arweave — up to 48 published events and 36 timeline photos included (5 photos per milestone). You also pay the small Base network gas fee for the blockchain transaction. Optional tributes are priced separately: roses, candles, and bouquets are available one-time or as monthly card subscriptions, and the Eternal Flame is a yearly card subscription.

Your memorial content is stored permanently on Arweave, and the memorial token lives on the Base blockchain. Even if the T.O.M.B website were unavailable, the on-chain record and Arweave data would remain. You can also export custody information so your family can always locate the token and content.

Memorials are private by default. Only the memorial custodian and wallet addresses they explicitly invite can view the content. The public token record shows that a memorial exists, but not its contents or visitors.

Because core memorial media is stored on Arweave and a token is minted on Base, complete deletion of the on-chain memorial is not technically possible — that is what makes it permanent. However, the custodian can remove visitor access, update or delete Life Journey milestone entries in Cloudflare, and transfer custodianship to someone else.

Soulbound means the memorial token cannot be sold, traded, or transferred to a stranger. It can only be passed to a new custodian through the official custodianship transfer process, which carries a small fee.

Visitors can leave tributes such as prayers (free, 24 hours), roses, candles, bouquets, or an Eternal Flame. Each tribute has its own price and duration. Prayers are always free. Tributes help visitors express remembrance and support the memorial custodian.

A memorial custodian can transfer their role to a new wallet address at any time for a one-time $5 fee. This is useful for passing responsibility to a family member. The token remains soulbound and cannot be sold.

On a computer, you can connect Coinbase Wallet, Coinbase Smart Wallet, or a browser extension such as MetaMask. On iPhone and iPad, Safari and Chrome cannot install a MetaMask extension — use Coinbase Wallet or Coinbase Smart Wallet, open the site inside your wallet’s in-app browser, or create the memorial with a card. WalletConnect-compatible apps (for example Rainbow or MetaMask mobile) work when that option is available. You never need a desktop-only extension to use T.O.M.B on a phone or tablet.

Yes. Use a card for the simplest path, or connect with Coinbase (or your wallet’s built-in browser). Paying with crypto from the iOS Chrome or Safari address bar the way you would with a desktop MetaMask extension is not supported — that is how iOS works, not a T.O.M.B limitation. The memorial, photos, and tributes are the same on every device.

Successfully fulfilled memorials are generally non-refundable because the on-chain memorial and Arweave storage are permanent. If a card payment succeeds but we cannot fulfill on-chain, we attempt an automatic refund. Recurring tributes can be cancelled at period end from tribute settings. Yes. Memorial content is encrypted using Lit Protocol and stored permanently on Arweave. Decryption is only possible for the custodian and invited visitors. T.O.M.B cannot read your private content.
